How To Play Fast & Easy Pentatonic Solos Using Patterns and LEGATO [Am]

I suck at alternate picking. If you're like me and you feel stuck because you can't play clean and fast using alternate picking then LEGATO. I used patterns because they make sense and our brain loves them and they're easy to remember once you figure them out.

This uses the same patterns from the previous lesson transposed to Am and is played using a different chord progression which totally changes the whole vibe of the solo.

The key here is to remember when and where to pick. Once you build the correct muscle memory on both the picking and fretting hand you'll be surprised how easy this is to play. Start slow and aim for clean and effortless runs then gradually increase speed.
