‘Hard water’ is a water with a higher mineral content and is the number one culprit in causing scale to build up faster in your machine. This is why knowing the hardness of the water you use is very important, which can be tested by following these easy steps.

Directions:
1. Dip the test strip into the water tank before placing it into the machine.
2. If your water hardness is either four or five when tested, we strongly recommend that you change to an alternate filtering water source.
3. It’s important to remember not to use any distilled water or water with zero or low mineral content as this will affect both the taste and functionality of your machine.
