Due to the cooking gas crisis, Mamata Banerjee will take to the streets in protest today. The Chief Minister is leading a march against the shortage and price hike of LPG. The rally will be held in the afternoon, from College Square to Dorina Crossing. Mamata has already blamed the central government for the gas shortage, alleging that the crisis is the result of the Centre’s negligence.
She also accused the Centre of being indifferent even amid the war in West Asia. Mamata criticized the sudden change in LPG booking rules, saying it was done without proper planning.
To increase pressure on the Centre over the gas crisis, the Chief Minister is leading the march today. Earlier as well, from her protest at Dharmatala, the Trinamool Congress chief had strongly criticized the central government. The Chief Minister has also held multiple meetings to tackle the gas shortage. Abhishek Banerjee will also join the Chief Minister in today’s rally.
