❄️ In winter, the waterfalls flowing through the mountains of Norikura Highlands gradually begin to freeze during the coldest months, eventually transforming into majestic icefalls. Water cascading down the rock face turns to ice over time, forming layered structures that resemble a grand natural sculpture shaped by winter itself. Within the freezing air, small streams of unfrozen water continue to flow quietly through gaps in the ice. As sunlight reaches the surface and the frozen forms slowly begin to melt, the icefall seems to tell a quiet story—that this beauty, however striking, is not meant to last forever.
