Описание: Our first ever DEL Movement Sentence Choir in Japan to celebrate 30 years of the Dance Education Laboratory in NYC! Students from Mukogawa Women's University and students and alumni of NYU Steinhardt Dance Education collaborated under the direction of DEL/NYU Faculty Deborah Damast and MWU Faculty Naoko Murakoshi to create a Movement Sentence Choir for over 150 dancers in December 2025 at MWU! The theme was cross cultural collaboration and the action words were Travel, Connect, Rotate, and Elevate: describing the process of connecting with new cultures in the process of artistic creation. We explored, brainstormed, created, shared, and had such a great time, looking forward to doing this again! Video by Saaya.
