A more realistic simulation of what happens when you drop something in a pool with an elliptical boundary. The two dots indicate the focal points, but do not interact with the wave. Try comparing the wave fronts with those in • Drop in an elliptic pond
The simulation solves the wave equation with a little bit of damping. The algorithm is adapted from this paper: https://hplgit.github.io/fdm-book/doc...
First version of this code, that still needed some optimizing, and finding the best parameter values giving a good result.
