I have been tough on Honda in the past. When I last reviewed a Civic Si in 2019 I spent two whole paragraphs on its inexcusable rev-hang and had many unkind words to say about its styling. But I am far from a Honda hater, in fact, it's quite the opposite. Like a frustrated parent with a brilliant child who just can’t seem to stop underachieving in school, I know that Honda is truly capable of great things. I expected great things from the new Civic Si and I am very happy to say that Honda has been paying attention in class lately.
