So, I have a push 3 in the post, my mrs would kill me if she knew, but luckily she never reads the comments hahaha.

Anyway, I love modular synths because in a weird way it taught me the concepts of sound design that I could not learn on a computer or through a vst. I found that the act of plugging stuff in helped me learn properly.

So now understand sound design a lot more! and as a result I decided to give Kontakt 7 a go. And I am really pleased with the results. Basically I got a felt piano (nils frahms noire), overlaid olafur arnalds chamber evolutions (and bass evolutions on the lower strings), and put it through Output portal, the granular fx processor.

its weird being able to build sounds is as much fun as playing them in a musical way. I feel like if I have learned synths earlier I would be a lot better at music now. But hey, I couldn't afford them before!
