7 koalas, no snakes, no bursh fires, and perfect weather at an extremely well organised event!
We had perfect conditions following a few extremely hot days and a few bushfires, which were thankfully under control.
I spotted 7 koalas on this run beating my previous record of 2! The bush was a bit greener than usual thanks to the wet summer we have had.
Have you done this trail series? Which was your favourite part? Comment below. Mine was the Echo tunnel. I was very worried about "how dark" it was in the tunnel, even when using my flashlight on my mobile phone, only to realise that I still had my sunglasses on lol!.
I usually run on the road and this was my third trail run. I can see how people can become addicted to this! There is nothing like hearing the unique sounds Australian bush, including the song of the Kookaburra, as you run through the weaving paths of this beautiful National Park.
For those that always hear that everything in Australia wants to kill you, I've been here 6.5 years at the time of running this race and I've never seen a snake. Spiders? Well that's a different story :-).
If you're ever in Adelaide, head out to Belair and have a walk around, the natural splendour is a must-see.
