🚨 TICKETS MUST BE PRE-BOOKED – don’t just show up! We booked ours through Trip.com

🕘 Visit early in the morning or after 3 PM for fewer crowds. We took the afternoon ticket, and it was still busy however, towards 4PM most tours left.

🛂 Bring your passport – it’s your entry ticket!

Opening Hours & Prices:
📅 April - October: 8:30 AM - 5 PM (£7)

📅 November - March: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (£5)

Ⓜ️ Closest Metro:Tian’anmen East

🚇 There’s usually a long queue when getting out from the tube as locals scan their ID—foreigners can skip this by showing their passport (sometimes they don’t even check it!).

📷 The Forbidden City is massive! Don’t just stick to the central areas—explore the side sections for better photos and fewer crowds.

💡 Missed out on tickets? You can still admire the Forbidden City from above at Jingshan Park!

➡️ Plan ahead and allow at least 3 hours to explore - there are plenty of places to sit and rest (just ask Toti and the guy next to him at the end of our visit, lol! 😆).
