We begin the morning living the “home-setup” side of Mauritius — a relaxed terrace breakfast, a little winter chill in the air, and that warm good morning feeling. Yesterday’s guava becomes today’s guava jelly, and I’m off on a mission for fresh bread… because honestly, while travelling, one warm bite of bread can make a place feel like home.

And then the mood shifts. Rain arrives, plans change, and our “outside picnic” turns into a cosy verandah scene. That’s Mauritius for you — an island that keeps reminding you: let go of control, hold on to the moment.

After that, we head to Vallé Advenature Park — the famous 23 coloured earth… where even the ground looks like it decided to become an artist. A Land Cruiser ride, beautiful greens, stunning views… and then the thrill we’ve all been waiting for: the zipline.

I won’t lie — I was genuinely excited and a little nervous too. Because even when someone says, “It’s safe”… your heart still needs a little convincing. 😄

This episode is a perfect blend of colours, laughter, rain, bread, friends, and a big adventure day — pure Mauritius energy, the wholesome kind.
