Описание: The KEWX radar has been working overtime, and finally the rain is moving out. Here is a look into the radar radome (soccer ball looking protective shell) of our Doppler radar. When the video was taken this afternoon, the radar is in "Precipitation Mode". The video starts out with the radar at its highest tilt of 19.5 degrees and about 15-20 seconds into the video the radar will drop down to 0.5 degrees tilt and start a new volume scan. Notice how the radar rotates at a slower speed once it starts the new volume scan. It does this in order to get more detailed information where we need it, the lowest levels.
