Mina Sambinha is a song I wrote inspired by brazilian music and accordion/bandoneon, specially the superb french player Marc Berthoumieux. This time I play with MIDI guitar. Jazz Guitar


I have a broad of influences toward Jazz Guitar. Brazilian music specially is a endless source of inspiration. I was particularly touched for this tune creation by talents, music and human spirit of artists like Ivan Lins and his extraordinary band (have to listen Leonardo Amuedo!) and Joao Bosco also with a incredible staff of band-mates and guest musicians like Gonzalo Rubalcaba in Incompatibilidade De Genios. And of course...Tom Jobim, always present and alive forever!

Technical stuff
I did play a Godin xtSA blending the electric guitar pickups with a bit of piezo acoustic spice, there is too the midi guitar synth controlling a french accordion sound from RS5 keyboard via Roland Gi-20 Midi converter. Pure MIDI guitar..!
I composed and recorded this song with the help of amazing program Band in Box 2008 - www.pgmusic.com - including live "on the fly" electric and Midi guitar performance direct to the stereo audio track available in Band in a Box.. not overdubs or edits..it was HARD!! because, beside the playing itself, there are real time switching between electric, acoustic and midi, I got a decent version after 3 or 4 attempts. Band in a Box is, to me, a invaluable practicing, composing/arranger assistant tool for musicians, song writers, jazzers, composers and students..I can assure it had been a fundamental key in my
musical growth and jazz guitar player.

Esta vez toco con guitarra MIDI. Guitarra de jazz

Tengo amplia influencias hacia la guitarra de jazz. La música brasileña es especialmente una fuente inagotable de inspiración. Esta creación de melodías me conmovió particularmente por los talentos, la música y el espíritu humano de artistas como Ivan Lins y su extraordinaria banda (¡ con Leonardo Amuedo!) Y Joao Bosco también con un increíble equipo de compañeros de banda y músicos invitados como Gonzalo Rubalcaba en Incompatibilidade De Genios. Y por supuesto ... Tom Jobim, ¡siempre presente y vivo para siempre!

Datos técnicos
Intepretada con una guitarra Godin xtSA combinando las pastillas de guitarra eléctrica con un poco de especias piezo acústicas, también está el sintetizador de guitarra midi que controla un sonido de acordeón francés desde el teclado Roland RS5 a través de un convertidor Roland Gi-20 Midi. Guitarra y MIDI ..!
Compuse y grabé esta canción con la ayuda del increíble programa Band in Box 2008 - www.pgmusic.com - que incluía la interpretación en vivo 'al vuelo' de guitarra eléctrica y Midi directamente a la pista de audio estéreo disponible en Band in a Box ... no sobregrabaciones o ediciones ... ¡fue DURO! porque, además de la reproducción en sí, hay un cambio en tiempo real entre eléctrico, acústico y midi, obtuve una versión decente después de 3 o 4 intentos. Band in a Box es, para mí, una herramienta invaluable para la práctica, composición / arreglos para músicos, compositores, jazzistas, compositores y estudiantes ... Puedo asegurar que ha sido una clave fundamental en mi crecimiento musical y como guitarrista en la busqueda del jazz.
