Lucy is a rescue chicken that was adopted from Edgar's Mission. Unfortunately, around 5 months ago, it was discovered that Lucy was developing thick white pus/plaques at the back of her throat.
These usually turn out to be squamous cell carcinomas. It is important that Lucy has regular checkups to remove these plaques so that she remains comfortable and can breathe easily.
In this video, avian vet Dr Phil Sacks, discuses the case and explains how the plaques are removed.
Meanwhile, checkout the owner's chicken hair cutting skills!
