Replacing the inverter board on your Panasonic microwave is a fairly easy and straight forward process. Getting to it was actually harder (covered in the Part 2 video linked to below).

New replacement Panasonic microwave inverters don't cost too much (generally in the $50USD to $100 USD range - model dependent), so with an expensive $600USD over the range Panasonic microwave, replacing the inverter is a fraction of the cost of getting a new microwave.

The other primary reason to consider repairing your Panasonic inverter over just getting a new microwave oven is to keep your same microwave and mounting. You won't have the fitment hassles & added costs associated with installing a different over the range microwave which will at minimum have a different mounting bracket to install; and at worst, a different ducting outlet requiring new ducting, and perhaps even tile work to the backsplash or other cabinet mods.
