If you have never mixed 2 stroke fuel and are planning to use an old 2 stroke outboard engine on your boat, you will need to mix the correct amount of oil with gasoline to properly lubricate and operate your 2 cycle engine. In a 2 stroke motor, whether it is a weed whacker, Evinrude outboard, dirt bike or any other 2 cycle motor - the oil and gasoline mixture needs to be correct so that the engine doesn't wear out or smoke more than it should.
