In this lesson we’re going to continue working on the I-IV-V-I progression, and this time we’re going to turn up the funk with an advanced groove. We’ll learn 4 8-bar cycles of solocomping, taking the intensity and complexity up a notch each time.
We’ll incorporate syncopated, brokenchord right hand figures, an active, independent bass line, and some “blue” notes and chord extensions.
