Описание: My Father, Lt Cmdr, USNR (Ret.) William E. (Bill) Michael was part of a team setting the record. Went on in 1940 to fly Igor Sikorsky & Alexander P. de Seversky( both major historical figures) for Franklin Air Cooled Motors in a similar plane with a Franklin engine, which later powered Igors helicopters. Dad went on to become the Navy's first Chief Test Pilot, excepting for the Navy the first F4U Corsair from Igor in 1942 in Bridgeport, CT. All personal records, pictures, movies and recordings are being collected for the future book and website.
