How do you decide between Malignance and Blackfire Torch?
Malignance vs BFT is usually up to preference, but against tank mids always go BFT. Mali has more impact early and BFT has stronger scaling and teamfights later on. Some factors that can make Mali better: short teamfights (high burst champs on both teams) and overall fast-paced game, low Rylai's value (enemy high mobility/slow-immune spells and building Swifties), enemy having many shields, enemy having low value on QSS.
