Come join me and Otto on a quiet winter road trip through the Scottish Highlands, driving north on the NC 500 with no real plan or fixed itinerary. Scotland in winter isn’t exactly the obvious van life destination. It’s cold, windy and a little wild - but that’s what makes it special. Empty roads, dramatic coastlines and long stretches where it feels like you’re completely alone.
This trip was about slowing down and keeping things simple. Driving without rushing, stopping whenever something felt right and following the rhythm of short winter days. A lot of quiet moments and cosy evenings in the van while the weather does its thing outside.
