We've been hearing from a photographer who was in the area of the adult education centre at the time of the attack.
A major police operation is underway in Orebro, around 200km west of the capital Stockholm.
Pavel Koubak says he's outside the building behind a police cordon and there are armed officers and "at least three" police helicopters in the sky.
