A quick tutorial on how to setup Play-a-Synth (https://playasynth.com) VST plugin to work with Ctrlr VST plugin MIDI panels (http://ctrlr.org) in Ableton Live.
Summary: Set up Play-a-Synth plugin and Ctrlr plugin to their own tracks and set Play-a-Synth track to accept MIDI input only from the Ctrlr plugin track. Then setup Ctrlr plugin with these settings:
MIDI menu - Set "Input from plugin host" on
MIDI menu - Set "Output to plugin host" on
MIDI menu - Settings - Routing - Set "HOST to HOST" option on
With this setup you should be able to control the remote synthesizer using the Ctrlr panel and you should also be able to play the remote synth with your keyboard through the Ctrlr plugin.
