King Tide along Songhees Walkway [4K] January 4th, 2026 - DJI Action 6

Описание: This is my first walking tour of 2026, filmed on January 4th, along the scenic Songhees Walkway in Victoria, BC.

I started just past the Johnson Street Bridge and followed the Songhees Walkway while king tides were expected to be exceptionally high. While the tides were not severe, they were noticeably higher than normal, with plenty of waves rolling in due to the wind. At times the wind eased off, making for calmer moments along the water.

It was a mostly sunny day with some cloud cover, and lots of people were out enjoying the walkway. I passed people walking dogs, jogging, and spending time with their kids along the waterfront. During the walk, I captured the Seattle Clipper ferry arriving in the Inner Harbour at the same time a float plane was taking off, which made for a great moment.

There was talk of a cougar sighting along the Songhees Walkway but I didn’t see anything myself. Still, I was hopeful to see it.

I’ve wanted to film this route again for a while, and today felt like the perfect day for it. I also filmed this walk last year, so if you’d like to compare how things look over time, be sure to check out that earlier video as well. It's twice as long and goes downtown Victoria too.

For 2026, I’ve made some small changes to my intro, outro, and thumbnail. I may continue to adjust things as the year goes on, but it felt like the right time to start fresh and try something new.
