Mediated by House Speaker Scott Bedke, the historic Water Settlement Agreement between the Surface Water Coalition (SWC) and the Idaho Ground Water Appropriators (IGWA) is considered to be one of the most important water agreements in Idaho history.
The landmark agreement strives to restore the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer to sustainable levels. This video explains how the agreement came together, and how water management is moving forward since the agreement was signed in 2015.
