Q1. A simple problem based on Arrhenius equation combining ideas from Thermodynamics such as Gibbs Free energy. Additionally, the idea of activation energy is also used. 10:50
Q2. Using the basic ideas of equilibrium, this question can be solved quickly. There is a closed vessel in which gaseous reactants give products. Tweaking the rate equation around, we get different equations. When we write them in a point-slope format, we can get the required answers. 17:01
Q3. We can simply integrate the given rate equation to find the order and then go about finding the half life. Make or break trick here is that of pseudo order. 24:35
Q4. An interesting question based on chemisorption. Additional ideas from Molecular Orbital theory are also incorporated in this question to make it a tough nut to crack. But weaving ideas around concepts we are already familiar with helps us tackle this. 30:06
Q5. We know that a catalyst creates a new reaction path in which the activation energy is less than that in the original reaction. Here, we have been given the ratio of normal activation energy and catalysed activation energy. Using Arrhenius equation, we can solve this question in a couple of minutes. 38:45
