In this video, we see the Class M4 743 "Madu" "මඩු" locomotive hauling a long passenger train into the 3rd platform of the Colombo Fort Railway Station. The train is a slow train from Mount Lavinia to Maradana. The Class M4 locomotives were built in Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) in Canada and imported to Sri Lanka in 1975. These are some of the well-known and loved giants in Sri Lanka Railways.
