Located in the Marche region near Genga, the Frasassi cave system is one of the largest and most spectacular cave complexes in Europe — and in my opinion, a must-visit destination in Italy.

From the moment you enter, you can feel how clean and fresh the air is, creating a peaceful and almost otherworldly atmosphere. The lighting inside the caves is absolutely gorgeous, carefully designed to highlight the enormous chambers, stalactites, and rock formations in a way that feels magical rather than artificial.

For me personally, this visit was a real pleasure. As someone who has experienced being under the sea and below the surface, walking through the Frasassi Caves felt like entering another world — vast, silent, and incredibly powerful. It was a deep, unforgettable experience.

What made it even more special is that my six-year-old child also loved it. The paths are safe, well organized, and easy to follow, making this an excellent destination for families with kids. It’s educational, inspiring, and exciting without being overwhelming.
