Healthy North Coast - Systems Modelling Workshop 1 Summary

Описание: ‘Right care, first time, where you live’ Program held its first workshop of the systems modelling phase in May with the support and collaboration of the Healthy North Coast Primary Health Network.

Professor Ian Hickie, of the Brain and Mind Centre, leads the Program was very excited to see so many young people with lived experience involved in the Healthy North Coast systems modelling process. “They can see what they want. They can see the chaos that surrounds them. They want to do things differently. They want us to coordinate care, to make a difference. They want us to come up with the tools to help with advocacy, the tools that help with making smart services decisions”, he says.

Sophie Boyle, the Senior Manager, Healthy and Resilient Children and Young People on the Healthy North Coast team says: So my hope for this program is to be able to understand where we need to meet the needs better, where there are gaps, and any solutions that we can do to help fill those gaps. What I really also hope is that the voice of young people are going to be really elevated and shared and a key element of what we do and how we shape mental health programs and services and funding in the future.” She hopes that the Program will also help services supporting young people collaborate better on services and service investment decisions.

Our Brain and Mind Centre team will now take that information and transform it into a dynamic systems model that will enable optimal decision-making for the youth mental health system in the region
