달의 계단을 내려오던 너
어젯밤
나는 꿈속에서
달이 뽑아 올린 계단을
하얀 발로 내려오는 너를 보았다.
너는 별의 심장 속에서
차가운 심해를 품고 있었고
눈동자엔 오래된 우주의 그림자가 젖어 있었다.
너의 숨결은 풀리지 않는 시간의 매듭 같았고
나는 그 매듭을 손끝으로 쓰다듬다
문득 내 심장이 거꾸로 뛰는 소릴 들었다.
우리는 아무 말 없이
꿈의 끝자락에 앉아
지구가 녹아내리는 소리를 들었다.
붉은 꽃이 피었다
눈동자 안에
Last night,
in a dream,
I saw you stepping down
the staircase the moon had drawn up,
bare feet pale as dawn.
You carried within you
the cold abyss
from the heart of a star,
and in your eyes
the shadow of an ancient universe
lay quietly soaked.
Your breath was
a knot of time that would not loosen,
and as I touched that knot
with the tip of my fingers,
I suddenly heard
my own heart beating in reverse.
We said nothing
as we sat
on the fraying edge of the dream
and listened to the sound
of the Earth melting away.
A crimson flower bloomed—
deep inside
your eyes.
