THE AVENGERS tv series "Dead Man's Treasure" by LAURIE JOHNSON re-created music

Описание: More music from the projects my friend and I worked on in the 1990s. This is the underscore to the car rally scenes in "Dead Man's Treasure," starring Diana Rigg as Emma Peel and Patrick Macnee as John Steed. I know that this particular theme was officially released by Laurie Johnson on cd in 2007, but for whatever reason, the track chosen was just the first verse, and it was missing a couple of important later bits, so I figured there was no harm in uploading this cover.


Once again, we used state of the art equipment for the 1990s, but you'll understand if the technology of the time didn't reproduce all instruments precisely! I only have an old, well worn audio cassette to remember these projects by, and have uploaded this track in mono (but may someday get around to putting up the same track in stereo, should I obtain the proper player).

Technical process, as quoted by Steve: "We used a Korg M1 synth sequenced using Cakewalk MIDI software on an old Windows PC. We then recorded the M1 by plugging it directly to the back of a home stereo cassette deck. No digital audio files were ever made (we didn't have the technology) and the Cakewalk files are probably on some old floppy drives somewhere. Very primitive stuff!"

All rights to the series remain with the holders, including this music, which was written by the brilliant Laurie Johnson. This 'cover' version was specially created by myself, Craig Gilbert, and Steve Shapiro. No infringement of any kind intended.
