Hand Engraving - Repeating Pattern Tutorial

Описание: Hi, all! :-) I made this little repeating hand engraving pattern because I made a Procreate brush that I will add to the EngraverHand - Procreate Engraving Brush pack, and I was questioned if it was possible to engrave that pattern, or just a computer idea, which was a good question, so of course I had to take the challenge and show it´s possible.. :-)

I was asked by quite a lot of people how I made it after posting a photo of the engraving test on a coin, so today I did a quick engraving of it again to show the process..

Sorry it´s a bit rough, quick and shaky, but it´s from my 2nd. engraving setup that I havent placed well yet.. but you should hopefully get the idea. Should I make a better one, or do you get it? :-)

Anyway, First I scratched in the squares which is about 1 mm (0.039 inches) Then I used a 116 with a AngleGraver sharpening to make a cross from each corner of the squares, from light and thin to deep and thick.. almost like creating a rose. Then I used a flat on an angle to flatten out each triangle..
