• Eligibility condition laid down in the orders dated 2.4.2018 hold good for this examination also.
• DOP officials possessing Bachelor degree from a recognised university can appear the AAO exam.
• Group C officials are alone only eligible to appear the Exam. HSG II, HSG I, IP and ASPOs are not eligible to appear the Exam.
• If the MTS desires to appear the exam he should possess regular service of 14 years as on 1st January of the vacancy year.
• If the Postman desires to appear the exam he should possess regular service of 11 years as on 1st January of the vacancy year.
• Postal Asst with Level 4 salary (Grade Pay 2400) with 9 years of service.
• Postal Asst MACP I with Level 5 salary (Grade Pay 2800) with 7 years of service.
• Postal Asst MACP II with Level 5 salary (Grade Pay 4200) with 4 years of service.
• If promoted to LSG PA can write the Exam. But promoted to HSG II he is not allowed to write the exam.
• If initially recruited as MTS, subsequently promoted total qualifying service 14 years is enough. Likewise postman cadre also 11 years total qualifying service.
• If initially recruited as PA, 9 years qualifying service. This qualifying service should be required as on 1st January of the 2022, 2023 & 2024 year vacancies.
