A strain gage generates an electric signal responding to a minute dimensional change (strain) caused by applied force.
The function is used in various fields including machinery, automobile, electrics, civil engineering/construction, chemical and medical treatment.
Use of a strain gage enables detection of minute elongation or contraction occurring on a structure.
The detected elongation or contraction enables us to know “stress” generated in the structure.
Stress is an important factor to verify the strength and safety of the structure.
