This wasn't recorded on the kitchen table. You're taking the wrong message from this video by focusing on where the repair took place. :-)
This Handycam was not working properly as found, and I set in to repairing it on an otherwise boring Tuesday night. Yet again, a very simple thing brings a complex machine to its knees. I'm not sure what ended up fixing the intermittent power connection--unless maybe it was also loose inside?
