Описание: In this video, Lindsey Shepard introduces us to the new QS18 Clear Object Detection Sensor from Banner Engineering.

This sensor utilizes the universal QS18 housing and features a polarized coaxial optical design to ensure reliable detection of transparent, translucent, and opaque targets.


With and IP67 rated ABS Housing, multiple mounting options, and coaxial lens, installation is possible even in the most challenging locations. The coaxial optics allows for detection of clear and mirror like targets. This sensor Operates at short distances from the reflector with no dead zones out to 3m and has a very precise leading edge detection.


Programming of the sensor is quick and easy, simply align the sensor with the reflector, push and hold the button for 2 seconds and begin inspection.


With a fast 400 μs response time, this sensor is ideal for high-speed bottling and packaging applications.

Low contrast sensing applications include PET bottles, glass containers, and shrink wrap. The sensor can also be used to detect optical surfaces such as: LCD panels with built in polarizing films, solar panels, and semiconductor wafers.


The QS18 COD Features bright LED operating status indicators visible from 360°, a universal housing with an 18 mm threaded lens or side mounts.


The three user selectable thresholds allow users to optimize the senor’s performance to detect small changes I the amount of light received.


No matter the target, Banner’s new clear tracking algorithm provides reliable operation by compensating for dust build up and ambient temperature changes.
