For Channa
12 oz or 1 Pack chick peas
1 Cup yellow split peas
2 Tsp salt (As you go along add more if needed )
5 Cups water
1 Tsp Baking soda
1 Tsp Turmeric
3 Tsp Curry powder
3 Tbsp green seasoning blend
2 Tbsp oil
1 Onion medium chopped
4 Cloves garlic
1 Scotch bonnet pepper
4 Cups of reserved peas water

Doubles
3 1/2 Cup all purpose Flour
1 Tsp salt
1/2 Turmeric
2 Tsp Active dry Yeast
1 Cup warm water add gradually , increase if necessary
Oil for frying

For seasoning blend i had the following , it made a different when added
Onion
Scallion
Garlic
Sweet pepper
Thyme
Scotch bonnet pepper
Pimento berries
