I want to make a comparison of euro cylinder models that are commonly used here in Germany. To get a fair view I use only new locks to explore their properties - mainly focused on picking. Here you see a WILKA 5 pin euro lock (20 EUR) with the following properties:
Keyway like a Yale Y1 but narrower
great bitting, so a deep hook is needed to get in the holes of the keyway
nice steel pins (spools at #3, #4, all key pins tapered and serrated at #1, #2, #4)
WILKA is a German lock manufacturer, founded in 1865 by Wilhelm Karrenberg and is still family owned.
