At just 3 meters long, 1.55 meters wide, and 1.54 meters high, the Hipster is even smaller than a Japanese kei car and weighs 20% less than Dacia’s current Spring EV. Its boxy silhouette, corner-mounted wheels, and minimal overhangs make it a practical and eco-friendly mobility solution for urban life.

The design uses Starkle, Dacia’s own recycled plastic material, adding both toughness and a rugged charm. In a quirky touch, rope-style door pulls replace conventional handles — a creative way to save weight while giving the Hipster more personality.

Inside, the cabin continues the theme of intelligent minimalism. Large vertical windows and a panoramic windshield roof bring in plenty of natural light, creating a surprisingly spacious atmosphere. It comfortably seats four adults in an upright position, with a bench-style front seat inspired by vintage cars. The rear seats fold flat, expanding cargo space from 70 liters to 500 liters as needed.

On the tech side, Dacia follows a unique “bring your own device” approach. Your smartphone acts as the digital key, infotainment display, and even the audio system, connected via a Bluetooth speaker. The cabin also features Dacia’s YouClip system, offering 11 mounting points for accessories like phone holders, sunglass cases, or extra lighting.

The three-door electric car reaches a top speed of 90 km/h and offers an estimated range of 150 km, which is more than enough for daily city commutes. Dacia notes that most urban drivers travel less than 40 km per day at average speeds of around 56 km/h — making the Hipster a truly sustainable urban mobility solution.
