Towering proudly over the beautiful surroundings of the Książ Landscape Park (Lower Silesia) the Książ castle is third largest castle in Poland. It was built in the late 13th century by the Piast Prince Bolek I, but during seven centuries of its history it several times changed the owners as well as its look. The last major renovations were done at the beginning of the 20th century by the last owner, Prince John Henry XV Hochberg von Pless - Prinses Maria Theresa Olivia Hochberg von Pless (Daisy)
