In Kanyakumari, Aviyal is not just a dish. It’s what brings the family together around the hearth.
It’s what our elders cooked without measurements, but with pure understanding and care 🌿
As the vegetables slowly cook in the firewood flame,
I felt like time slowed down…
Like the village was whispering its stories through the smoke.
Two ways of making aviyal,
but one soul behind it — my Periya aththai 🤍
