Описание: This is Side Two of the Argo Transacord LP 'Great Central' [SPA 461]. The title may be misleading as not all the locomotives heard on this recording are ex-GCR. However the locations at which they were recorded were once part of the GCR or its joint lines. The recordings were made by Peter Handford in the 1960s and the stereo LP released in 1976. The last track of a class V2 at Princes Risborough is one of my favourite Peter Handford recordings - there are similarities to Winston Link's recording of a class J at Montgomery Tunnel (track 7 on 'Sounds of Steam Railroading')
