Virajpet is a small town located at Coorg and is about 110 kms from Mysore city. Two hour drive from Mysore to Virajpet is a wonderful experience with good roads,Plenty of Marigold flower plantations and also, you need to pass through thick forest of Nagarahole National Park to finally reach your destination.

As we reached Virajpet early and check in time at Club Mahindra was at 2 pm, we decided to have our lunch at one of the popular restaurant’s at Virajpet named Coorg Gate.

Food here is very tasty with a blend of both Coorgy style and flavours of Kerala. Also, if you are interested in some quick shopping, then head to souvenir shop located at campus of this restaurant.

Post lunch, we left to Club Mahindra Resort which is located about 13 kms from the heart of Virajpet town.

Club Mahindra Resort if truly the gates of bliss. This is where travel meets comfort and convenience. Built in modern style and is famed for its wonderful location amidst thick jungles, pepper and coffee plantations

I felt that the check-in procedure took a little more time compared to other properties which I have stayed before and there is some scope for improvement.
From the reception to room, personal vehicles are not allowed. However, good inhouse commutation facility along with friendly staff are available to take care of you and your belongings.

In between these experience, I also took time to embark upon a gastronomic journey with local specialities like Kadambittu or Rice Balls and Nool Puttu at Aromas multicusine restaurant and Coorgenburg Restobar.

Overall, my visit to Club Mahindra Virajpet, Coorg evoked happy side of me and was captivated with nature’s many delights, warm hospitality, and intriguing experiences. It was truly one vacation with multiple experience.
