LACMTA - Line 256 Southbound - Sierra Madre Villa Station to Highland Park Station - FULL RIDE

Описание: Welcome aboard to Line 256 from Sierra Madre Villa Station in Pasadena to Highland Park Station in Highland Park.

Line 256 is a daily route that runs via Washington Boulevard in Altadena and Avenue 64 in Pasadena and Highland Park. Line 256 has a total of 59 southbound stops and is about 13.33 miles (21.45 km) long and would take about 56 minutes on the full route (if weather and traffic conditions would be stable). Line 256 has a frequency of every 50 minutes.

Effective December 15, 2024, Lines 256 and 177 will be transferred to Pasadena Transit, and would become Lines 33 and 35. 256, becoming PT33, will be a more frequent route by every 35 minutes. The route will remain the same. Line 256 has gone through many changes since the NextGen Bus Plan was approved in October 2020. On June 27, 2021, the 256's northbound route was rerouted to serve more of Colorado Bl, then through Memorial Park Station, Marengo and Lincoln Avenues, Washington Bl, and Sierra Madre Villa Station to replace the now-defunct Line 264. The next change went into effect on December 19, 2021, the 256's southbound route between Cal State LA and Eastern/Triggs was replaced by City of Commerce Transit Line 200. And the final change for the 256 was on June 25, 2023, service between Highland Park Station and Cal State LA was replaced by the following: the extension of Line 665 to Huntington/Monterey in El Sereno and Metro Micro on Collis Avenue, Via Marisol, and the portion of Avenue 57 below Figueroa Street.
