The book is full of beautiful and inspiring motifs playing with different embroidery stitches on felt material. I picked “historia” because its use of monotone color and ‘multiple stitches overlapping like geological layers’ to present a powerful impact. I find it a fun and an enjoyable way to practice embroidery stitches.

Finished dimension: ~5.2CM diameter
Floss consumption: ~10M
Embroidery time: ~6 hours

Material & Tools:
2mm thick felt, used as a base for embroidery
DMC-25 embroidery floss, ECRU color x 2 pcs
leather, used as backing/lining to the felt
brooch pin, will be sewn to the leather
various sizes of needles, fit for 3-strands and 2-strands of floss
scissors, for cutting felt, leather and floss
photocopy of pattern, to be used with crafting stylus pen to transfer the design to the felt material
water removable craft paper, used for transferring design on the felt
crafting stylus pen
tape, used to secure the paper pattern and craft paper to the felt while tracing
water removable pen, used for darkening the design after tracing with craft paper
pen, used for marking on the leather
glue, used for attaching the leather to the felt
brush, used for glue application
(not shown in the video) eraser pen for water removable marks from craft paper and pen

[Embroidery Time, Relaxing Time]
I'm setting up this channel to do some embroidery to relax and clear my mind from everyday chores and chaos. At the same time, I'd like to have some companionship while working with both of my hands (or both sides of my brain) on the beautiful colors and warm fiber textures.

The amazing thing of working on embroidery is that no one can go wrong with it, as long as some attention is given while working on it. And the best part is that the craftsmanship will get better and better each time after each stitch is being made.
