Описание: Finale guitar duel between friends, with Anto Drennan and Greg Boland (right) trading moves, when Dublin band Badge performed during the 'Dublin Guitar Night' gig at JJ Smyth's music venue in Dublin on Tuesday, June 25th, 2013. Smooth bass work and vocals by Tommy Moore, Myles Drennan on drums. The gig included sets from other guitarists, including Eamonn Moran, Damien Kelly and Shane Latimer.

About Greg Boland (extract from 'all about jazz'):
Greg Boland (b.1955) is one of Ireland's most experienced touring and recording guitarists. Best known as a collaborative and session musician, he has worked with many critically acclaimed bands and artists. Greg's career began in the 1970's as a member of Jazz / Rock band 'Supply Demand & Curve' following which he played with the legendary 'Stagalee', Ireland's most successful 'Soul / Funk' band. During this period he also established himself as a very busy studio session guitarist, playing on scores of Albums, Singles, Demos, Jingles, TV / Film Themes and Soundtracks. As a member of 'Scullion' he enjoyed success on the acoustic music and festival circuit of the early 1980's, recording four albums. In the mid 80's he co-formed 'Bumper to Bumper' a sophisticated R & B outfit, the members of which included some of Dublin's top studio session players. His role as a session player has also led to much Theatre and TV work. He has also been / is a member of the bands : Moving Hearts, Davy Spillane Band, The Big Noise, and Steely Dan tribute bands Naked Lunch and Aja. Greg has toured and / or recorded with :- Sonny Condell, Freddie White, Bill Whelan, Carole King, Bono, Dolores Keane, Mary Coughlan, Fleadh Cowboys, Leo Sayer, Christy Moore, (Moya Brennan, Steve Winwood, Sinead O'Connor w. Davy Spillane), Mary Stokes, Donal Lunny, Sean Tyrell, Nigel Rolfe, Shaun Davey, Rita Connolly, Stockton's Wing, Midnite Well, Maura O'Connell, Henry McCullough, Frances Black, The Black Family, The Bards, Red Hurley, Johnny Logan, Jimmy Mc Carthy, Liam Merriman, Eoin O'Meachair, The Houseshakers, Tommy Fleming, Applecore Band, NCO, NSO, RTE etc. Greg is currently working as a producer / arranger and session guitarist. This work incorporates his knowledge and experience of computer music technology. He has also had experience in music education ranging from private individual lessons, seminars and workshops. Greg has instructed in music arranging in the Arts Department at Ballyfermot College of Further Education. Greg was the innaugural president of the Musicians Union of Ireland, and served in that post from 2003 to 2007.

About Anto Drennan from Wikipedia: Anthony Drennan is an Irish guitarist noted for his involvement with Genesis, Mike + the Mechanics and The Corrs whom he has played with throughout most of his career. He was born in Luton, England, but moved to Ireland at a young age. He is from a musical family. He has also played with Clannad, Paul Brady, Moving Hearts, Davy Spillane, the Liffey Light Orchestra, The Ronnie Drew Band and other well-known Irish bands and performers.

About Badge (from JJ's website): Badge are a four piece Dublin based band whose members comprise some of the most experienced musicians in Ireland. Their names are instantly recognizable to most musicians and music lovers, having played with most of the top artists in the country. Badge, newly formed, play an eclectic mix of 70's rock and blues, including music by Cream, Free, Fleetwood Mac, Jeff Beck, etc.

Dublin Guitar Night is a monthly event presenting a range of guitar players across many genres. The last Tuesday of each month features four varied guitar acts and a focal point for players, guitar enthusiasts and music lovers alike.

About JJ's: JJ Smyth's is a family owned bar in the center of Dublin city. Home to many a musician, Jazz and Blues alike. It started off as a family owned grocery and public house back in the 1730's, it has changed throughout the years and now you can hear live Jazz and Blues sounds of the city from within it's doors. JJ's became one of the cities oldest continuous licenses, which has remained on precisely the same site since the 1730's and was the birthplace of the famous Irish poet and playwright Thomas Moore in May 1779.
