Описание: In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew hears from Phil Robinson, the Vice President and General Manager of Ballard Unmanned Systems. In partnership with BFD Systems and a network of industrial gas suppliers operating as FCair, Ballard is offering an all-inclusive program to deploy multirotor drones powered by hydrogen fuel cells. Ballard and its partners will arrange for not only delivery of the drone and integration of the client's payload, but also delivery of hydrogen gas and the systems necessary to re-fuel the aircraft – making for an easy transition. The company will even bring a hydrogen-powered drone to a potential client's work site, to test the viability of a hydrogen-powered system versus conventional battery-powered drones. Ballard has a long history in working with Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS), having integrated hydrogen fuel cells into more than 30 types of military drones. The company now hopes to provide this same capability for the commercial drone market: allowing a large multirotor to fly for an hour on a single tank of hydrogen.
