We kept our promise and made our trip to Surakhani ship on a remarkable Seafarer Day 25 June.
The ship belongs to ASCO Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company and to all heroic Azerbaijani sailors. Surakhani ship-museum serves as a bridge between the past and the present history of modern Azerbaijan with its ancient sailing traditions.
We were pleased to be welcomed and discover the entire museum and its stunning retro styled restaurant with live performance. And of course, we tasted a few seafood dishes which were cooked by a professional chef. Surakhani ship museum is a newest sightseeing spot in the country and definitely is most popular. If you have not visited yet then start planning and you will be impressed with its spirit and ambiance.
This episode is an inspiring video for all people who are related to the sailing, or is planning to become a sailor.

Make sure you watch our previously published episode from the shore where Baku had also witnessed the opening of a sculptural composition erected in memory of the selfless Azerbaijani sailors. The authors of the work, which was created by order (CJSC) of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) are folk artists Salkhab Mammadov and Ali Ibadullayev, and the architect is Honored Architect Elkhan Asadov.
