In this video I am building the "COMIX-35" replica of the COMX-35 computer from 1983. What's special about this computer is its CPU, an RCA 1802!
This is NOT my project. The replica circuit and PCB have been designed by "Tube Time" in 2020.
All parts are readily available, you don't need to butcher any retro hardware for parts. On Ebay you can find IC kits for this replica.
The Emma emulator package contains lots of software in .comx format, download it from the link below. For loading software over the tape input port, there's a lot of WAV files on The Clueless Engineer's Dropbox, the link is below.
I have published my humble additions to this project on my Google drive:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folder...
There you will find:
My bill of materials (BOM)
The Gerber files for my little micro-USB power adapter board
Thanks to:
Tube Time (User "schlae" on GitHub) for creating this wonderful replica
The makers of the "High Speed Direct Connect" project (Andrew, Hank and Marcel)
Marcel for his Emma emulator
The Clueless Engineer for his YouTube videos that inspired me to build this computer
