This is the final video that shows details about the Crawford Performance Engineering (CPE) Time warp chassis construction. There were so many little issues that came up when I built this chassis for my latest Clod Buster project truck that I had to make a second video about them and what I did to fix them. This is a good example of how these custom Clod Buster and Bull Head projects can have all sorts of unexpected bumps in the road and, if you are planning a similar project truck, you just have to keep your spirits up, think of solutions, sometimes take a little break to refresh your mind, and then continue on. Remember that in the world of all making custom R/C monster trucks, slow and steady wins the race!
I have experienced these kinds of problems throughout every single one of my custom R/C monster truck projects so, though I was also fully expecting them during this truck's creation even before I started, they still caught me by surprise a little. I think that, out of all of my trucks, this one has had the most problems during the initial assembly phase. That was why this truck took so long just to get to this point shown in the video. Often I had to special order parts here and there and then I spent a lot of time just sitting around and waiting for them to arrive before I could continue assembling the chassis.
When I described the various parts in the chassis at the beginning of the video, I forgot to mention that the heavy duty servo savers were from Kimbrough and the aluminum gearbox anti-rotation brackets were from Pargu.
Hang in there because there is light at the end of the tunnel for this Clod Buster! It's just that that light often kept moving further away from me. This truck will get there though, I promise!
