Immigration News: Priti Patel's best week yet? Is she the worst Home Secretrary ever?

This is a brief round up of events and news in the immigration world over the last week.
Well there is no getting away from the most important piece of news - this is that the Secretary of State for the Home Department was found to have breached the ministerial code by bullying staff.
Did she follow her own rules / or ministerial conventions and resign? No.
All she did was aplogise to Boris and all is forgiven.
The ministerial code of conduct are the unwritten rules that govern how members of the governemnt should behave.
She was found to have broken them - but refused to resign.
This is of course the same SoS who complains when migrants do not leave when told to and who is responsible for making the Hostile environment even more hostile.
While on the subject of the Home Secretary - she was found to be in breach of her own guidelines in respect of her own trafficking guidelines.
What else has happened?
The government is starting to evict asylum seekers without liaising with councils - in the middle of the winter - with the HO having just implemented a new rule allowing rough sleepers to be removed.
Its also a pity that the HO did not bother to start the evictions lawfully, as apparently they have been evicting asylum seekers illegally.
On another note there was an attempted suicide at naper barracks - where the conditions are third world as identified by May Bulman in the independent.
Also it appears that the Ho are releasing people from Napier Barracks when they are threatened with legal action.
Talking of asylum accommodation the HO have been told that they cannot put asylum seeker children into adult accomodation.
The Windrush compensation scheme is racked with discrimination itself which is ironic and that 20 people were investigated in respect of their conduct, it will come as no surprise that the HO have failed to publish the report.
In respect of Windrush less than 200 people have received compensation over the last two years.
And just when you thought it could not get any worse the HO is accused of forcing health care workers out of the country in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic - as apparently they have no place in the UK under Priti Patel’s Home Office.
Lastly, we have been threatened by a bigot for trying to help migrants - not that I am bothered but it does add weight to the argument that Priti Patel and the government’s harsh rhetoric lead to members of my team living in fear
Nice one Priti, why not do the decent thing, like you expect migrants to do, and resign?
No chance is there? And no chance of us doing our best to fight against this increasingly repressive regime - “humane and people first” home office - what a joke.
